Dogs are like people – they tend to thrive when they have a routine. Predictability makes them feel safe. Their routine should vary just like your days do, with some days more relaxing and others with more activity. You don’t want anything too boring, but you also don’t want too many changes at once.
When there’s no routine, dogs tend to feel insecure and are more prone to misunderstanding you. Dogs have to feel confident in order to thrive and interact safely with other people and animals. Ensure your dog has parts of their day they can rely on, whether that’s the time you feed them or who takes them on their walks.
