Look, it can be hard to be patient. We’ve all been on walks with our dogs where they stop every couple of steps to sniff, explore, or mark their territory. As hard as it can be to stay patient, dogs don’t like to be rushed. Remember, while you leave your home each day to go to work, visit friends, or go to the store, your dog spends a lot of their life inside. Walk time allows them to explore the world, smell new smells, and meet new friends.

As silly as it seems to us, they enjoy spending this time outside marking their territory (on the fire hydrant, the curb, the mailbox, the tree…). It’s worth it to take the extra time to allow your dog to enjoy these moments outside your home.
